Penelope decided that she would braid her hair for the day while talking to Alice.
"Thats correct, Potions first. I believe that we'll be sharing that class with Slytherin so Draco and Kain should be in there too." Penelope informed, getting excited about her first day in classes. Especially since her first class was one that was anything but easy.

Alice watched Penelope braid her hair while talking, it looked nice. Alice looked at her own hair from the mirror, it looked nice down to be honest to be vain but Alice did like her hair if it was one good feature she liked it was that, Alice was not keen on the way she looked she was to skinny and looked frail and weak, which she wasn't. She was also extremely pale, which in her eyes made her look freaky or so she'd heard of the cows from her old school for the past years. She ran a brush through her hair and added a little eye liner to her eyes hopefully defining them a little. deciding not to do anything but leave her hair down for the day she tapped her wand to her hair which made her hair straighten out. How she loved magic.
"We share with slytherins?" said Alice "what about the other houses are they in the same lesson or do Hufflepuff and ravenclaw share?"

Penelope watched as Alice straightened her hair with her wand, Penelope really needed to learn those tricks. Her own hair was naturally wavy and would sometimes have a mind of its own.
"Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw share classes, just as Gryffindor shares with Slytherin. It adds excitement to the classes." Penelope replied to Alice's question.

ALice msiled at her friend
"I could teach you those hair spells if you like?" she said kindly "Its easy you just have to direct your wand and concentrate on having your hair straight" Said Alice as she took a peice of her own unruly hair making it sit straight. Alice was happy with her hair now but the cherry red was starting to bore her, tommorow she would rainbow streak the fringe or maybe turn her hair bright pink, if the teachers allowed her too. Alice wasn't vain heavens now she just liked to look nice once in a while.
"oh I bet it does make it interseting with all the house rivalries that is" said Alice.

"Oh that would be brilliant," Penelope replied when Alice offered to teach her the hair potions. Though with Penelope's luck, she'd try the straightening spell and her hair would end up being straight.. up in the air.
She looked into the mirror on the wall and examined her own looks. Penelope thought she was pretty enough.. not beautiful really.. but she did love her eyes. The way her eyebrows naturally arched always made it look like she was up to some devious plan. She thought that was funny.
"Yes it is funny. Unfortunately I'm in the wrong house according to my father. You see.. I'm the first one in my family to not be sorted into Slytherin. If I had been sorted into Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw then my father wouldn't have been too upset.. but here I am.. sorted into Gryffindor which is Slytherin's rival." Penelope said, she let out a small laugh and rolled her eyes, "Ah well.. what are you going to do?" She smiled.

"No problem" said Alice. She sat back down happily and started ruimmiging threw her bags for something, Alice pulled out a bright purple book. "You can borrow this is you want" said Alice kindly "My house keeper got me it she said she wanted me to at least think of dresing prettily for once" Alice sighed as her house keeper refused to accept her as what the busy body had put it 'Rebellious stage'.
"I don't really get on with my house keeper" said Alice giggling "any way its got loads of spells in it for doing stuff with your hair and potion recipes to changing stuff, I don't really use it and it would be a shame to let it gather dust on the shelf" said Alice passing the book to Penelope.
"I bet theres quite a few arguments huh sometimes" said Alice refferring to the slytherin and gryffindors sharing classes.
"gee that must suck, both my parents were hufflepuffs my mother well she's not really here if you get what i mean but she would have probably been the most annoyed everything annoyed her though but dad he was ok with it. "don't worry i'm sure they'll accept it soon"
Alice looked at the clock on the wall, they had an hour till first lesson.
"Fancy going to get some breakfast before, class?" she asked her friend

Before Penelope had a chance to answer Alice regarding breakfast, her stomache growled. "That sounds like a great idea." She said with a smile.
Penelope accepted the book that Alice said she could borrow. She laid it on her bed so that she could look it over later on.
"Oh I'm sure that everything will be fine with Mother and Father. Nothing to worry about I suppose. Lets just say that things are very interesting at home. My father is also best friends with Draco's father. Wild fun," she said with a ruefull grin.
"So if both of your parents went here, then why did you start off at WADA?" Penelope asked as they headed out the door to breakfast.

Alice and Penelope began walking down the spiral stair case to the common room to breakfast, once out of the portrait, Penelope asked her about why she'd started at WADA.
Alice sighed she might as well talk about it, it had been 6 years, it would be an insult if he wasn't mentioned at least once. "Well originally, we, my brother and I had planned to go to Hogwarts together we always dreamed about it and what it would be like, we were twins me and Artis and you couldn't seperate us" giggled Alice "that was before the accident though, Artis unfortunetly passed away, when we were ten and I didn't want to go with out him so I decided to go to WADA instead" she said not sadly but just a little glumly she smiled brightly "But I'm here now so thats all that matters and I'm going to live hogwarts for the both of us".
"Lets go then!" said Alice happily grabbing Penelopes arm and bouncing down the corridor happily. "I'm so hungry" she said as they hit a dead end. "I think you should lead us Pen, I think I'm lost" she said stifling a giggle but grinning wildly.
"Hey Pen do you think the teachers would mind if I turned my hair blue?" asked Alice "Just on the cherry red parts not fully blue, though it would be pretty cool..."she said happily "hey if they let my turn mine blue we should colour yours Purple" she said jokingly but it would probably look really nice

Penelope laughed at the thought of her hair being purple. Actually it would be a good chance she thought.
"I don't think that they'd mind, just the same.. lets wait until after Potions to do it. I may just let you change mine purple," She responded, with a big smile.
She led the way to the Great Hall to where they'd be having breakfast as they talked.

Penelope and Alice walked into the common room. Pen quickly went through her stuff and pulled out a small package. She openned it and pulled out a small bottle that contained fine powder.
"Here it is," she said to herself. She then took out a small cup and put a dash of the powder into the cup. After adding some hot water to the cup she was ready to go.
"A perfect cure for a headache, sure to cure any form of head pain." She explained to Alice. It was the remedy that her family doctor had learned from a chinese doctor who specialized in herbs.
"Did you find a good cage for Momo?" She asked, satisfied that she had what she needed.

Alice and Pen walked intothe common room Alice dug out Whisps old owl cage, why did she have that when her owl had a new case, weird. She conjured up some sawdust and put Momo in the cage making sure the door was shut tightly so it didn't escape she grabbed a small container and filled it with waterplacing it in the cage and shutting the door again. She would have to ask the care of magical creatures teacher about what food she would need for him.
"is that fo kain" she asked her friend "aw thats nice of you, i'm sure he'll be very thankful" she said smiling.
"And yeah I found a cage for momo" she said gesturing over to the cage.

Penelope smiled down at Momo in his new home. "Awe, hello there Momo." She whispered, poking her finger into Momo's cage.
"Something's missing," Penelope said, she waved her wand and conjured up a small purple pillow in the side of the cage for Momo to sleep on. She smiled, "Brilliant, now Momo, whenever you go to sleep you can think of Auntie Pen," She said. She glanced up at Alice, "You don't mind do you?" She questioned.
She then glanced down at the cup in her hand. The concoction was still steaming, of course it was. The cup she put it in had been charmed to keep everything just the right temperature to drink. She nodded in answer to Alice asking if the drink was for Kain.
"its the least I can do. My mother says I try fixing everyone's problems. She says I'm a fanatic that can't help myself." She said as if explaining. Though the truth was that she just wanted an excuse to talk to Kain again w/out sounding like a real fanatic.
"Are we ready to go then?" Pen questioned?

"Its perfect" said Alice clapping her hands together.
"Well thats a good thing, it means you care about every one" said Alice.
Penelope asked Alice if she was ready to go.
"Yep" said Alice "bye Momo" she said to the hedgehog as the two ran down the spiral staircase out of the dorm into the common room and out of the portrait whole.

Alice tottered into the common room giving quick hello's to people she knew as she bounded up the stairs to her dormatry room.
Ah there it was under momo's cage she lifted it up and admired the bright orange book, it reminded her of the chudley cannons her favourite quidditch team even if they were bottom of the league she loved them.
She tucked her book in her bag and wondered how Kain and Penelope were getting along
