Kyle walked into the great hall not that far behind Harry, but hadn't really paid attention. He couldn't remember all of what happened the previous night, but he knew that he had been caused to make a fool of himself, and that made him very angry. Needless to say, he was in a foul mood.
He wasn't really paying attention to where he was going and ended up running right into someone. He opened his mouth to yell at the person when he saw that it was Harry Potter. Kyle's eyes widened a moment, and his cheeks flushed. A great deal of what happened last night came rushing back to him.
Instead of saying anything rude to Potter, Kyle pushed passed him and rushed to sit down. He groaned quietly and put his head in his hands. He heard laughter coming from the next table over and looked up to find Gryffin laughing. Kyle gave him a murderous glare.

'Dream on,' Martha said, pointing her butter knife at Gryffin. 'Me and Will are going to stuff you! Right, Will?'
"Looks like Harry's hair is back to normal."
Martha looked around. Sure enough, Harry was walking in, muttering darkly under his breath. 'Aww!' Martha pouted. 'That's so unfair! I thought that would have been great in Tryouts.' She laughed as Kyle entered the Great Hall, looking even moodier than Harry.
'Oh dear,' Martha said to Gryffin, 'It looks like he's not going to be very happy with you later...'

Erin dangled a piece of bacon in front of Fluffy for him to snap up, dissapointed when he just looked at her with his beady black eyes.
"I guess snakes don't like bacon then huh?" she said to Martha. She whipped round in her seat when Gryffin started laughing. Potter had just walked in, hair back to normal and his familiar angsty features on his face. Seriously that kid needed to smile, Erin thought to herself taking a sip of pumpkin juice.
She snorted when Kyle came into the dinning hall, the look on his face was comical. Especially when realisation hit his face, probably remembering last night. She grinned widely, before controlling her expression. The look he had sent Gryffin wasn't a pleasant one at all, it was damn straight scary.
"I feel sorry for you," she said to Gryffin lightly, taking a piece of toast and tore the soft crust off. The house elves were xcellant cooks she thought as she ate the crust.

Gryffin had also noticed the glare, and it did send ice down his spine. The hate in Kyle's eyes was hardly contained but Gryffin wasn't going to let Kyle know that he was worried.
When both Martha and Erin said that they felt sorry for him, Gryffin smiled and shrugged. "Nah, he's as harmless as a cuddly bunny." He said.
He reached out and petted Fluffy. "So can you really speak parseltongue?" He asked Martha.

"Yeah, as harmless as a cuddly bunny with fangs." Penelope said, watching her cousin now sitting at the other table glaring at the wall.
Today was definitely going to be interesting. She couldn't wait to see what the classes were going to be about. Just then she spotted Professor Umbridge coming into the great hall.
"Harry isn't the only one back to normal." She sighed. She had hoped that Evvie's fairy transformation spell would stick a little longer.

Martha lost her grin and a wary expression overcame her features, it was a strange expression that didn't quite belong on her face. 'Um...yes...' she replied slowly to Gryffin, watching him pet Fluffy who was still in October's hands.
'But I would never tell them to attack anyone or something,' she said very quickly, remembering the fuss everyone made when the school found out about Harry's same ability. Martha had presumed Gryffin had already known. Only a few people knew about it. She didn't want to cause a fuss with it. She remembered when everyone had avoided Harry. That was the one time Martha hadn't felt the need to prank him.
Martha looked over when Professor Umbridge walked into the room, no more a frog. 'I guess good things just don't last,' she sighed to Penelope, taking a sip of Pumpkin juice.

Gryffin caught a hint of worry in Martha's tone and looked up at her and smiled easily, "Very cool." He said, "Guess you really are my Slytherin Princess." He said and winked.
"Did you finish your dare Pen?" Gryffin asked, watching the toad teacher take a seat at the staff table. He noted that Umbridge was more toad like than usual, so perhaps Evvie's spell hadn't worn off completely.
"You'll see soon enough," Penelope replied.

Martha smiled back at Gryffin, feeling a rush of relief wash over her. It was stupid really. She should have known Gryffin wouldn't mind. But just thinking of how people reacted around Harry... But still, they had accepted him, hadn't they?
'Ohh, yes, your dare,' Martha said, flashing a grin at Penelope. Martha had dared her at the party to write a prank love-letter to Umbridge. 'I can't wait to see that!'
Lance entered the Great Hall and Martha met Erin's gaze and grinned devilishly.

Kain smiled when Penelope entered, and rested his head on the table. "I wonder if Penelope did her dare." He said half-heartedly, and looked at Umbridge. "What dare?" Draco asked, and Kain shrugged his shoulders quickly, before they went back into their slump. "She was dared to write a howler - love letter to Umbridge." He said, and a small grin flickered on his lips. He looked at Martha, who seemed to be getting along to well with the gryffindor Prankster, and looked past them to see Illyanna, beaming up at Fred, who was looking rather sheepishly at her. Illyanna was nodding, and Fred nodded a couple times as well, and hugged her. Kain could only guess what was going on.
School had gotten interesting - even more so, since the party. Now, Harry Potter would be accused of having a romance with Kyle Delani, who looked so annoyed right now, he could probably punch Harry into another room, on the other side of the castle. Kain waved at him, the vampire's head still lazily on the table. "So Kyle, what are you going to do about the party thing? I would just ignore it, but its really up to you.." He said, trying to be helpful.

At the mention of the party last night, Kyle's face flushed once more. He closed his eyes to collect himself and then smiled as coolly as possible.
"Not a thing, I'm just going to pretend that it didn't happen." Kyle answered Kain's question. His thoughts, however, were completely the opposite of what he was saying. The people behind his embarrassment were going to pay. The only question was, who was the culprit?
He cleared his throat, and attempted normal conversation, "So did you enjoy the party last night?" He asked Kain and Draco.

Post by Professor Umbridge on Aug 19, 2009 10:20:57 GMT -5
Professor Umbridge walked into the Great Hall with her head held high. She was still furious regarding being turned into a toad, being laughed at by students as well as other professors behind her back. That was simply something that she would not have. She didn't care that Professor McGonagall said that there was no way to prove which student had put the fairy dust in her tea, but she would find out. Once she did, they would have to pay for the humiliation that they caused her.
She sat down in between two other professors that she really didn't bother paying attention to, and began putting food on her plate. Every once in a while a loud croak would escape from her throat.
Just then, an owl swooped in and dropped a red envelope right in Umbridge's plate. She glared at the owl before picking the red envelope up and looking at it. After realizing what it was, her face went somewhat pale and put the envelope on the table, determined to not open it.
"You might as well open it," Professor McGonagall stated, glancing at her through the corner of her eye.
"Hm, hm." Umbridge cleared her throat, "I beg you to not put your nose in my business Professor." Umbridge said, her tone rather icy.
Umbridge knew that Professor McGonagall was right, the howler must be opened, and so she opened it very carefully.
"Dear Dolores Umbridge," Began a male voice, not angry at all, "I have been admiring you from afar and have been able to think of nothing else but you since our paths first crossed. You're the ideal woman, strong yet very feminine. A picture in pink. That smile that some feels is cold as ice only warms my blood up for each time I see it. True, some say that you resemble a toad, but I see you as my toad queen. If only it were my kiss that had turned you from the toad into my once more beautiful goddess. Alas, it was not for I am forced to only dream. Until my eyes close in slumber again, Lance."
Professor Umbridge's face was as pink as her dress once the howler stopped speaking. She watched in complete shock as it blew up. She did not really notice the laughter or the people who were staring at her, their jaws dropped. Instead, she tried her best to figure out who this Lance was. The voice sounded familiar but she couldn't place it.

Penelope covered her mouth when she spotted the howler being delivered. She forced herself to keep a straight face throughout the whole disgusting spew, but she was amazed by the fact that the spell had worked, she had actually been able to pull of Lance's voice.
She smiled at Martha, "Was that good enough?" She asked.

Chelsea walked into the hall and spotted Kyle, usually she would have walked straight up to him fussing or playing with his hair, but not today.
Remembering the events of last night she walked gingerly over and sat down with Pansy opposite Kyle, she hoped he wouldn't remember the scene she had made, it had only dawned on her that he had probably been slipped a love potion.
She flashed him a quick smile, deciding to act like nothing had happened. "How are you feeling Kyle?" she asked while pouring herself a drink of orange, "good luck in quidditch today, not that you need it of course"

Lance strutted into the great hall and saw Erin, Martha, Alice and the others and began walking over to them. "Hello guys! what a party, I could have danced all night, but I know some people need their sleep" he said and sat down next to Stacey, smiling round. Suddenly he heard a booming voice, his own voice, Lance looked up in confusion and saw Professor Umbridge holding a letter that looked like a howler. Lance's face turned scarlet as everyone in the hall burst int fits of luaghter, he stood up shaking with anger and embarrasment. "WHO DONE THIS? Professor, thats not me!! I demand whoever done this owns up!!" he shrieked, standing up and sending pieces of toast flying in all directions.

Erin rolled her eyes when Lance sat down next to them and began talking.
"Really? Danced all night? Well thats odd cause i didn't see you dance at all," she said smirking. She laughed with everyone else when Lance's voice echoed through the hall. Laughing even louder when he reacted and stood up, pieces of toast flew at her and every one else around him. She grimaced as a slice landed butter side down on her jeans. She was wearing casual wear, not wanting to mess up her school uniform and it wasn't like they had lessons today anyway.
"Eughh!" she said, picking the toast up off her self and throwing it back at him in disgust. Why did toast always have to land butter side down? She took her wand out and magicked the butter stains away. Untill the distinct smells of burning reached her nose, that patch of jeans looked slightly charred. She threw her hands in the air.
"Oh i give up with these naff spells" she said in exasperation.
