Andie walked into divination, somewhat dreading it. Andie had never really liked divination class. As she walked in, she saw another new professor and a girl she didn't recognize amongst the others. Hmm, must be new here, Andie thought, curious to meet this new girl and talk to her. Perhaps she was a fellow Ravenclaw. Andie took a seat and waited until she absolutely had to before reading her tarot card. Andie was never that good at divination and she put off her turn for anything until the last possible moment.

Professor then turned to Illyanna, seeing her hand raised.
"The beautiful Ms. Vinters vishes to be next? Very Well," Professor Nadya said with a smile. She reached down, with out so much as glancing to make sure that she was picking up the correct card. She showed it to the class just as before.
"This is the Empress card. This symbolizes a very caring and friendly person. One who takes good care of her friends. A very outgoing person who rarely meets a stranger. However, it also shows that you are a worrier, some may call you a mother hen.. yes? This is not a bad thing, everyone needs a friend like you." Professor Nadya explained.

After a few other students had volunteered to have their tarot card read, Luna was somewhat curious as to what her card would reveal about her. She raised her hand to be next.
She saw the Professor smile at her, "Very well Luna.." the professor said sweetly.
Luna was excited.

Professor Nadya picked up Luna's card and showed it to the class.
"This card is called the Page of Cups. It symbolizes a daydreamer. Someone who often has their head in the clouds and rarely pays attention. People who are identified by this card are often very kind and sweet and love all animals. Alot of people find these people slightly odd but the Page of Cups doesn't pay them any mind." Professor Nadya explained.
She continued with her readings of the tarot cards for each student that raised their hand to be next. Professor Nadya noticed that all of the students had raised their hands except for Andie. She had a feeling that this wasn't one of Andie's favorite classes too. So she waited until the very end to show Andie's card.
When the time came, she picked up Andie's card.
"Last but not least, Andie.. your card is the Queen of Swords." She informed, showing the class this card.
"This card symbolizes a independent person who will fight for what she believes in. She can be very stubborn at times, but still very caring. She is brave and very practical.. refusing to pass judgement until she has all the information. She is unique and strong." She explained.
After putting her own cards away. Professor Nadya sat on the edge of her desk. "If you look on the end of each table, you vill find a deck of tarot cards for each of you. This deck is made especially for those just beginning their journey into divination. There is also a small booklet included vith each deck to let you know how to work them as vell as the meanings of the cards. Your homework is to practice doing atleast two readings." She informed.
She watched as all the students picked up their tarot cards.
"Very well then, you all may go. I hope you enjoyed the class." She said.

Illyanna couldn't help but beam when she heard that her card was "The Empress Card." How cool is that?! She smiled and nodded along with Proffesor Nadya's discription of her. It was absolutely perfect! She giggled softly when Proffesor Nadya mentioned that some call her a Mother hen, and then she remembered. She forgot to tell Kain that that her father had written him a note, and she placed it in his bag earlier. How could she have forgotten? When class was over, Illyanna headed towards the courtyard to find Kain.

Kain walked into the dark Divination room, and noticed a young woman sitting in a chair comfortably, playing with tarot cards. This was bound to be interesting. "Good Morning," He nodded towards her, and Draco and him headed to the top of the room, where the back seats were. Draco didn't seem quite as content about this class as Kain was, but that probably because last year it was dreadfully boring. So the two boys sat, awaiting the class to begin.

Penelope, Alice, and Gryffin walked into Divination not long after Kain and Draco.
She smiled at the dark haired teacher and picked a seat toward the front. After Gryffin put Penelope's books down on her table, he went to sit with some of his other friends.
Penelope scanned the room, noting that there was no sunlight in the room, only candles. She also smelled something.. must been incense she thought to herself.
"This class looks like it'll be fun, dont' you think?" She asked Alice.

Professor Nadya prepared the deck of tarot cards again and one more, began drawing a card each time a student entered the room.
When the young Slytherin with the wild hair entered the room and said hello, Professor Nadya smiled at him. "Greetings," She said in return.
She could sense something was different about him. It was in his eyes.. a certain air about him.
When the other students entered the class, she smiled at them too. She wanted to get this class started, still happy over how her last class had went.
Finally, all the students were in their chairs and so Professor Nadya stood up and walked around her desk so that nothing would be in between her and the students.
"Greetings everyone, and velcome to Divination. My name is Nadya Lovel but you may call me Professor Nadya. This is my first year teaching at Hogwarts. Anywhere actually.. and so ve vill be learning together. Just like in the last class, ve vill be doing things a little differently. I vill be your guide into the spiritual side of Magic, starting vith using these," she held up a tarot card, " to help get to know you each better." She placed the tarot card back down on the desk.
"As each of you valked into the class, I drew a card. The card that I drew for each of you should tell me something about your personality. So vho vill go first?" She asked, and looked around the room.

Kain sure as heck knew he didn't want to go first. After all, what if her tarot card said something he didn't want everyone to know? It didn't matter anyways, but he sat, waiting for someone else to raise their hands, and send his heartrate back to its normal, slow speed.
He could tell that Proffesor Nadya knew something about him, and could tell by the card that he wasn't normal. So, he just waited. Hopefully, she didn't resort to calling on him.

Gryffin quickly raised his hand, volunteering to go first to have his card read. He loved this stuff, perhaps because it was all so new to him.
He eagerly waited for Professor Nadya to acknowledge that his hand was raised.

Professor Nadya saw that the silly blond haired boy was the first to raise his hand and she smiled. She had a feeling that he would be the first. She also noticed that the strange.. no that wasn't the right word for him.. different.. that word was alittle better.. the boy she knew was named Kain, was slightly worried about what his card would reveal about him. She smiled slightly after she was able to catch his eyes, reassuring him that he had nothing to really worry about. That whatever his secret was.. she was not telling.
She then picked up Gryffin's card and showed it to the class, smiling widely. "This card is called The Fool," she said. There were laughs, and Gryffin bowed from his waist down without getting up from his seat.
Professor Nadya laughed slightly before continueing, "This signifies newness.. I'm guessing that our friend Gryffin isn't originally from a magical family.. yes? A muggle born? And so once you found out that you vere a vizard, and came here.. everything seemed fun and exciting yes? Kind of like an excited child. Fun is the most important thing to you, no? You find vonder in even the simplest things. This is not a bad way to be.. But you must remember that there is a time to be serious." She said.
She put the card back down on the desk and looked around the room. "Vho vill be next?" She asked.

Penelope couldn't help but laugh when Nadya said that Gryffin's card was the fool. It fit him perfectly, because her bestest friend liked nothing more than to do goofy things. She was curious to find out what her card would reveal about her, but there was no way that she was going to volunteer to have it read.. not quite yet.
She thought that this class was going to be one of her favorite, already the teacher was an improvement over the last divination teacher. Plus she was very pretty. Penelope really liked the way the teacher talked. How her voice was very soft and musical.

Well, she seemed to reassure Kain, and with that, Kain Winters raised his hand. Sure, he didn't want to go, but he needed to get it over with, sooner or later.
He hoped that it wasn't embarrassing, after all, he had a reputation to uphold.

Professor Nadya was surprised when Kain raised his hands to go next. She nodded and picked his card from off her desk and turned it to let everyone see it.
"This card is called the Emperor," she informed, "it signifies control, visdom, and confidence. Those who identify vith this card are usually very vell known, natural born leaders, even if they don't exert their power. They also keep themselves under control, whether it be their temper or their entire lives. This card also signifies someone who is use to getting what he wants. Am I far off?" She asked, keeping her eyes on Kain.

Kain couldn't help but chuckle slightly. She was right, boy was she right. "Not far off at all, Proffesor." He laughed, and Draco was just staring at him. Well, nothing to worry about then. He realized that, and relaxed, nodding a small thank you in Proffesor Nadya's direction.
