HUfflepuff, founded by Helga Hufflepuff values hard work, loyalty, tolerance, and fair play, above all else. Their mascot is the badger, and black and yellow are their colors. Hufflepuff's common room is in the basement, their entrance found through a still-life picture, near the kitchen.

Ravenclaw values intelligence, creativity, wit, and wisdom. The house mascot is an eagle, and the colors are blue and silver. The common room is located in Ravenclaw tower, on the west side of the castle.
