Kain left the breakfast table, in silence, and walked down to the quidditch pitch. The benefits of the quidditch tryouts were, some students who weren't trying out, volunteered to serve the auditioners. For instance, they would bring drinks to people waiting to try out, or food. Which was helpful, and many people appreciated it. Kain walked up to the stands, and sat down, watching as some other house members joined their teams, pumping them up with words of excitement, rejoice, and words of good luck. Kain took a deep breath, and looked back and forth, gazing around the area. It was relatively empty, and Kain chuckled, knowing that more people would soon rush out of the Great Hall, and he would see them coming down the hill, a look on their face of determination. He hoped everyone got the position they wanted, yet at the same time, he didn't. He sighed, and leaned back, staring up into the still dark sky. He had taken a seat in the box seats, which, luckily for him, were covered with an overhang, sheilding him from the soon- coming sun.

Penelope followed the crowd out to the stands and took a look around. She loved every part of the Hogwarts grounds, especially the quidditch pitch. However, trying out made her really nervous. She was sure that she'd be fine once she got on the broom though. She wished that she could be more like Gryffin, or even Evvie who didn't seem nervous at all.
Penelope looked around to decide where she was going to sit. She spotted Kain but didn't make her way over toward him. He seemed to be in a world of his own, gazing up at the dark sky. She watched as Kyle walked over and sat down close by him but didn't say anything.
She decided that she'd go sit with her cousin and see how he was doing after Gryffin's prank. After all, it would be a good reason to sit near Kain too.

Kyle sat down beside Kain and allowed himself to relax. He was trying to fight the foul mood that had come over him in the Great Hall. He knew that Kain really wasn't one for conversation and Kyle was thankful for it. He closed his blue-grey eyes.
He heard footsteps coming closer to him on the stands, but didn't open his eyes to see who it was. Nor did he open his eyes to look when someone sat down right behind him. But when he felt a hand on his shoulder, he let out a annoyed sigh and turned to see who it was. When he saw that it was Penelope he forced back an angry remark. Instead he simply looked at her blankly.
"What is it Pen?" He asked.

Penelope didn't take her hand off of Kyle's shoulder. Instead she offered him a soft smile.
"I just wanted to wish you luck cousin. I'm sure you'll do great out there." She stated quietly. She wasn't in the mood to fight with him, and so she decided that she'd pretend that everything was great between the two.
Kyle seemed a little surprised by Penelope's words and her tone.
She looked over at Kain, "You too Kain. So when is Slytherin going anyway? I know Gryffindor is first."

Kain had hardly noticed that Kyle and Penelope had come near him, and he shook himself out of his reverie, and peered at Penelope, nodding. "Yes, we're going second to last, I think. I don't know. Draco knows the schedule, he'll be here soon." He said, and smiled lightly at her. "Good luck to you too, really. I'm sure you'll do excellent."

Penelope smiled at Kain, "Thanks," She said.
She ruffled her cousin's hair carelessly. Which was something that she hadn't done since they both arrived at Hogwarts. He groaned annoyed, and Penelope giggled.
"You really need to loosen up Kyle. You're starting to act like Father." She said in between soft giggles. She leaned back away from the two Slytherins and looked up at the sky herself. She loved this time of day. The breeze felt nice against her face.
"I'd be happy if the whole day stayed like this." She said quietly.

Erin grabbed a bright green apple before leaving the great hall, throwing her broom over her shoulder, it was easier to carry this way. She put on her beanie hat, green Slytherin scarf and her gloves. Her mother called them magic gloves cause they gre in size when you put them on, but really, there was nothing magical about them.
She lifted her head up to the sky when she and her friends left the school. The weather was perfect, and it looked like the sun would break through the wispy clouds too, which was a bonus. She was jittery with excitement as she looked at Martha. "Fancy flying down? Who cares if it's against the rules, none of the teachers are out yet anyway except madam Hooch and she loves you remember."
She raised her eyebrows as she got on her own broom, "I'll see you crazy kids later!" she said with a grin before zooming off towards the stands, she closed her eyes to the wind for a brief moment. Glad to feel it on her cheeks again. She landed with a soft touch of her handle and jogged a bit to get her balance. No way would she use the schools brooms, they were so hold and they hurt. Plus they all had this mad desire to go left!!
She looked up to see who she had landed near and cocked her head to the side, "Hi Kain," she said with a massive grin, "Hows your head??"

Gabrelle looked at the crowd leaving. Time to fly,She thought to herself. She took a piece of toast with her and was off with her friends. Jumping excitedly around. She grabbed her own broom and said to Erin "Would that offer be open to me too?" She asked with a smile.
She loved to be back on her broom. The wind in her hair and the graceful look she gives as she kicks off the ground then once airborne speeds off.

Evvie was excited about quidditch tryouts. When she heard that a few others were going to be flying their brooms down to the pitch, Evvie decided that she'd do it too. She cast the summoning spell and her broom came flying. Evvie waited until it was close enough and she leaped on it with ease.
"Woohoo, lets go!" She yelled to Gabrelle with a happy grin.

"Woohoo, lets go!" She heard Evvie yell. "Okay" She shouted as she also summoned her broom. Kicked off the ground gracefully and sped off to catch up with Evvie. She caught up to her within 2 seconds. "Gorgeous day for flying" She said as she flew next to Evvie. Smiling she leant further down and dived to the ground before pulling up and raising back into the air. "Had to do that sorry" She laughed and continued flying next to Evvie.

October walked into onto the pitch after taking a detour to get her broom from her dorm, the ground was firm and the air was warm, but breezey, perfect Quidditch conditions she thought with a smile. "Woohoo, lets go!" Evvie yelled and her , Gabrelle and Erin mounted their brooms and sped off.
October jumped a little, she hadn't noticed anyone else standing on the pitch, she watched them for a minute before kicking off from the ground. October closed her eyes and smiled it had been far too long since she had flew and had almost forgotted the feeling, the wind whistled round her face as she sped further up from the ground, opening her eyes she had to blink a few times to make sure she wasn't dreaming, the view was breath taking, mountains rolled infront of her and the black lake seemed to stretch out forever it was eery but strangely complelling, for a moment October completely forgot she was at school and leaned forward accelerating towards to lake as if being drawn there, she could have quite happily flew off and spent the rest of the day flying between the trees by herself, but remebering it was Quidditch trails she stopped herself and instead circled the pitch letting her red hair stream out behind her.
October looked down and noticed a few Gryffindors were making their way on the pitch, she dived down towards the stands, doing a quick roll just for the fun of it and slowed down, hovvering over where Erin and Martha had just sat down, she smiled and jumped down off her broom to sit next to them.

'Of course I want to fly down!' Martha replied to Erin and the two got on their brooms and flew towards the strands. It was true that Madam Hooch would never tell Martha off.
Martha snicked when Erin asked Kain if his head was alright. Her friend was pushing it there. Who knew how he was going to react to Erin?
Martha saw Gryffin and grinned excitedly. 'Fluffy's here to watch!' she said to him with a wink, holding up her wrist to show the snake who was wrapped around her wrist. 'Moral support and all that. Can you look after him when Slytherin's up?'
Gryffin didn't seem to mind the snake and she trusted Gryffin with Fluffy. However, she wasn't very sure if she trusted Fluffy with Gryffin. That snake had a severe attitude problem.
As Erin came and stood beside her she turned away from the others and whispered to the snake in Parseltongue, 'You're on your best behavior, got it?' Fluffy merely blinked at her lazily.
Martha grinned as October sat down next to her. 'You're up after Gryffindor. Are you nervous?'

Oliver made his way onto the pitch, feeling nerves tighten his stomach. He stopped next to Penelope and Alice and smiled. 'Great day for Quidditch,' he stated, looking up at the sky. 'Not too windy, not too sunny. Just right.'
He shifted his broomstick and bit his lip worriedly. That was the only thing that could make Oliver worried: Quidditch. He was bound to get on the team, but still, it was nerve-wracking.
'Good luck,' he said to the other Gryffindors as Madam Hooch made her way onto the pitch.

"I'd love to keep an eye on Fluffy," Gryffin said. He actually liked snakes but his Mom was deathly afraid of them and so the chances of him having one for a pet were very poor.
"I think Sytherin goes after Ravenclaw," Gryffin said, "Are you nervous Martha?" he asked. He looked around and spotted Penelope sitting close to Kyle and talking to Oliver.
"It looks like the Delani cousins are getting on good this morning. Maybe Kyle's gotten over the prank last night?" He asked.

"I was just thinking the same thing," Penelope said, smiling at Oliver.
She heard Kyle mumble something, but wasn't really sure of what it was. She rolled her eyes and continued smiling at Oliver. She could tell that he was nervous.
"You'll do great Oliver. After all, what would the Gryffindor team be without the great Oliver Wood as our captain?" she said.
