Kain was busy taking small sips from his drink, when he heard someone introduce themself. Spinning around, his hair flopping with him, he saw Gabrelle's outstreched hand. Raising an eyebrow, he held out his own hand as well, and shook it. "Don't worry, I remember. Sort of. Last night is all fuzzy to me, really. What position are you trying out for?" He asked, trying to get off the subject of him being drunk on pumpkin juice.

Alice shook Gabrelles hand. "thanks Gabrelle I'm sure Slytherin are going to do great too" she laughed. She turned to Erin who had said about betting on Alice "That quote sounds familiar" said Alice "it sounds like something that would come out of an ill written teen vampire romance novel" she laughed shaking her head
[OOC-Sorry couldn't resist]
She chuckled nervously "seriously though, Don't bet on me".
She turned to Pen and nodded "Thanks Pen you were so better though and Yeah I can't wait to learn it looked cool, I'll have to teach you that jump too" said Alice laughing, to be honest she took a little risk when she did the leap over the other chaser if she'd made a mistake she could have hurt herself.
She cheered for Dakota and Luna, she hadn't had a chance to talk to them properly yet and they seemed like really nice people she cheered for them with a grin. Next was the keeper auditions October looked really really nervous but Alice knew she'd do brilliant October was an awesome keeper when they used to play quidditch when they were younger it was always hard to score when she played keeper.

Gabrelle shook Kain's hand. "What position are you trying out for?" She heard him say. "Chaser, and you?" She asked smiling at him.
She cheered along with others for Luna and Dakota both doing extremely well. Although she hadn't introduced herself yet it seemed like the friendliest thing to do. Then came the keeper auditions, She cheered for October. Wondering how the rest of her friends would fly she kept her eyes on the tryout's.

"I'm sure you'll do really well Andie. I'm terrified now, but I'll calm down when I get up there" October replied and gave Andie a nervous grimace before kicking off from the ground and up to the goal posts.
She began circling the goals, taking in the space she had to cover and waiting for the chasers to take their shots.
The first chaser to audition flew up and threw the quaffle towards the left hoop, October dived for it and kicked it out of the way with ease, the next two people's attempts October managed to save without much difficulty, Dakota then flew up and dodged past the bludger sent by a beater and threw the quaffle with surprising force towards the middle hoop, October launched herself towards it but missed and the quaffle soared through the goal.
"Wow! Good shot Dakota!" October yelled, impressed.

"Thanks, October! Good luck!" Andie called as October mounted her broom. Oh, God, seekers are next, Andie thought while mounting her broom in preparation for the seekers. I hope I do okay.

Dakota gleamed at October, and nodded vigorously. "I'm proud I got that!" He shouted, and blushed. He was, in fact. After all, he was sort of expecting a miss. No matter, he would keep doing what he was.
He decided to give other chasers a chance, since he was continually throwing balls at October, whether they got into the hoops or not.

Penelope cheered for both Dakota and October. Both of them were really good. She could tell that Gryffindor would definitely have their hands full with the competition this year, and she hadn't even seen the last two houses try out yet. But the competition didn't worry her, it only made her more excited for the games to start.
She turned looked over at Kain who was still off in his own world. She noted how he would answer people when they asked him direct questions, but how he didn't offer any conversation. He was usually always this way. Pen then looked over at Evvie.
The pink haired fairy was watching the students that were up in the air very intently. Pen could tell that it was taking all of Evvie's will power to stay seated when other people were flying high in the sky. No wonder Kain found Evvie to be so annoying, they were complete opposites.

"Keeper." Was all he said to Gabrelle, before flashing her a weak smile, and turning his attention back to the auditions. He didn't mean to be so cold, so unresponsive, but he was tired, and due to his occurance at the party, yesterday, he didn't want people to come up and act like they would be best friends with him. Because, they wouldn't. Kain was completely different at the party, than normal, and if the party Kain made friends with everyone there, the real Kain didn't. Sure, he cared, but he didn't think of friends the same, giddy way. He didn't mind Gabrelle, she was quiet. He liked that. But, he just didn't want to talk.
He was so busy in his thoughts that he didn't even notice that his drink fell from his grip, and the glass shattered on the floor, juice dripping through the wooden creases of the floorboards.

Erin was watching the ravenclaw's chasers intently, looking for any weaknesses they may have. She blinked when Dakota got past October, that almost never happened. He must have some skill she thought with a grin, it would just make the games all that more intresting if Slytherin had some competition.
She jumped when the glass smashed, "Woah Kain you seem pretty out of it," she said looking at him and giving him a grin. Before turning back to the try-outs, the wolf was whining wanting to go on the broom now. But it was weak, from the potion she had drunk this morning, when it fought back the hangover, it must have fought back the wolf. For which she was glad.

Kyle was only half way paying attention to the tryouts. He couldn't help but wonder where Chelsea was. He remembered how he treated her at the party and had decided that he should apologize though normally he felt like apologies show weakness, but today he felt like being at least some what nice.
When the new girl, what was her name, Gabrelle tried to carry on a conversation with Kain, Kyle noticed that Kain was even more withdrawn that he usually was. Kyle didn't care, he actually preferred the more withdrawn Kain.
When Kain dropped his glass and the liquid that it contained poured out, some of it got on Kyle's pants. He glared at Kain for a moment, but didn't say a word.

Pen jumped as well when the glass broke. She looked over at Kain and frowned slightly, then quickly looked to her cousin who looked as if he was about to bite someone's head off.
"Here, let me take care of it." She said quickly. She took out her wand and pointed it at Kyle's soaked pants and used a drying spell. She then used the spell again to dry the liquid up off of the stands. Then she cleaned up the broken glass.
She watched Kain for a few minutes. She wanted to ask him if everything was okay, but decided not to. It was obvious that he didn't want to talk and so she wasn't going to push it. Besides, Penelope understood people wanting to be by themselves for a while.

Kain turned to Erin, who's voice had just startled him.
"Woah Kain you seem pretty out of it," He blinked a few times at her, not knowing what she ment, until he went to take a sip of his drink, and realized it was no longer in his hands anymore. "Oh..." He muttered, and looked down at his feet, as it was being cleaned up, thanks to Penelope. He cold feel Kyle's stare, and ignored it, and smiled at Penelope.
It wasn't like he was stressed, or upset, he had simply returned to the old Kain. The one from last year. Despite his efforts to fight him back. He probably just needed rest, and was shocked that there was another vampire around. That had to be it. Because he didn't want to push away anyone intentionally, but he was to wrapped up in his thoughts to change is exterior appearance to others.

After a few more shots had been taken at her, October flew back down to the ground to let the other keepers have a go. She smiled at Andie who looked quite nervous, hoping she had done enough to get on the team and hoping Andie would too.
When the other keepers had tried out, Madam Hooch called for the seekers to go, "good luck Andie!" October said giving her a thumbs up.

Penelope smiled back at Kain and she put her hand on his shoulder. "Are you ready for your tryout?" She asked.
When Madam Hooch called all the keepers and chasers to return to the seats, Pen cheered for October. Next was the Ravenclaw seeker auditions. Pen could tell that Andie was nervous.
"Woohoo, go Andie!" Penelope cheered for her friend. She had yelled in Kyle's ear. Kyle sent Pen an annoyed look but didn't say anything. Penelope giggled quietly, getting a little bit of enjoyment out of annoying her 'delightful' cousin.

Kain felt Penelope's hand on his shoulder, and stared up at the sky peacefully. "Yes, I'm ready. You did marvelous, by the way." He said, turning to face her.
"Sorry about the cup, by the way. It seems i'm not paying any attention to what I do today. Which, might not be the best thing, considering try outs." He sighed, and imagined himself missing every single Quaffle, headed through the hoops. The one thing worst about being a Keeper, was the pressure. No matter how hard you try, someone's always going to be mad at you if you miss the ball and it goes through the hoop. Whether it be someone on your team, or even someone in the stands, watching. He blinked a couple of times as Penelope screamed, tilting his head to the side as if the noise pained him to hear.
