It was September 6th. Today was the day all of the students had to get back on the Hogwarts express and be transported to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. For some, today was the best day of the year, being able to go back to the world that they loved so dearly. For others, this was a chore. Something that simply had to be done. And for Kain, this was a privilege. He waited all summer, hiding away until he could finally go back to the place where he was welcome. This was his third year at Hogwarts, and he loved it more each year. Kain walked into the iron-clad train, and sat in an empty booth. Kain awaited his best friend's arrival, Draco Malfoy. That boy was always late, and knowing him, he was probably picking on Harry Potter at the moment.
Which was a useless waste of energy.
Kain leaned back against the cushioned seat, and looked out the window. He saw familiar faces passing by the trains exterior, and smiled softly to himself. He remembered the first time he was told to get on platform 9 3/4. At first he just laughed.
Impossible.
He asked people walking by, and they to laughed at him. He was beginning to think that this invitation by Dumbledore was fake, and almost threw out the ticket. Then, he saw Draco Malfoy. The platinum haired boy walked swiftly through the crowds, with an older man, who was also blond, by his side. Kain could tell right away that these two men were wizards, because of two reasons.
1. they looked at all the muggles with pure hatred, 2. They just looked the part.
Kain decided to follow them, and sure enough, saw the younger boy walk right through the platforms labeled '9' and '10'. Then, taking a daring step, Kain followed. When he ran through the wall, he completely expected to get a fierce blow to the face. He knew he was going to kill himself, doing this. Kain smirked to himself, and saw out the window the golden trio walking together. He heard them talking, through the opened window, and ignored them. He didn't dislike him, but they were not his favorite people.
They were to perfect.
Suddenly, he heard the door begin to slide open, he looked, not knowing who it was. He hadn't seen Draco pass by the window, so it couldn't be him, unless he was already on the train, and Crabbe and Goyle would never come into this room alone, because they were terrified of Kain. He made it very clear to the two dim-wits, the year before that they should never talk to him. He never liked being around stupid people. He could literally feel his brain cells disintegrating. So, who was it?

Penelope knew that she really should sit with her usual friends but she really didn't feel like faking a smile just to keep them from asking her the questions such as "Whats wrong?" She knew that they only asked these questions because they were her friends and of course she would ask them the same thing if the shoe were on the other foot, but still. So in an attempt to avoid her friends, she chose to head for the back of the Hogwarts Express.
As she moved through the corridor she let her mind wander back to the early morning. Fights with her father were pretty common ever since her first year at Hogwarts when the sorting hat had seen fit to sort her into Gryffindor, making her the first ever Delani to not be in Slytherin. This morning's fight was nothing beyond the normal "Remember your blood line Penelope," and "Don't bring shame to the family Penelope".
She was extremely grateful for the first day back at Hogwarts because it meant some sort of freedom to be who she felt she should be rather than the "perfect daughter" that her parents felt she should be.
"Thats enough," she whispered to herself, arriving at the last compartment. She let out a sigh and opened the door and stepped in without looking to see if it was already occupied.
It wasn't until she had already closed the door behind her that she realized that she had intruded on someone else's sanctity, for sitting there was Kain Winters.
Of course Penelope knew who he was, she was sure that everyone at Hogwarts knew who this stylishly dressed enigma was. This didn't mean that she knew him, for she hadn't really spoken to him much except for a few words here or there in all the years that they both had been studying at Hogwarts.
Penelope stepped away from the door and took a moment to compose herself before he thought she was a total idiot. She smiled slightly, her cheeks pink with surprise.
"I'm sorry, I didn't realize anyone was in here already." She stated quietly. She turned and reopenned the door and walked right into someone, but who was it?

the Hogwarts express was crowded there were certinly more students then there was at WADA. She sighed softly to herself out of annoyance, finding a comprtment was going to be tricky buisness. every one here had been coming here for years Alice was going to find it hard to fit in. "Please don't let it be like WADA" she begged as she remberred flash backs of her life at the other school
Flash back- Alice hurried along the corridor keeping her head down, hoping to avoid them, , she darted past a classroom her steps flighty and fast suddenly she was hit by a hex from behind. "OI!" shouted a high pitched voice "Where do you think your going Sefaline!". Alice could not move she was stuck to the spot by the hex. "N-No where" stuttered Alice. "why are you stuttering Alice?" questioned the voice cockily "Are we too frightening for a little freak like you?". "N-No just leave-" Alice was cut off. "I think we need to teach Little Sefaline here a lesson" said the voice. Two arms grabbed the young Alice dragging her into the deserted classroom, the girl with the shrill voice kicked her hard in the stomach another pulled out her wand pointing it at Alice. "Why can't you just leave me alone?" screamed Alice who was gasping for breaths. The girls cackled in delight at Alice's feeble attempt to stick up for herself. "Your really pathetic" said the first girl "No wonder your mother killed herself!". That was a step to far Alice broke free of the hex and ran at the girls firing hexes and curses, the girl just laughed and pulled out her own wand. "YOU NEED TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON SEFALINE" she yelled pointing the wand at the oncoming Alice "CRUCIO!".
Alice was flown in the air and a pain soared threw her body, it was if some body was rippping apart her limbs and setting them on fire at the same time, Alice could not control her metamorphamagus powers and her body was changing appearances so fast you could barely tell what she was, this made the girls cackle even more with an evil delight.
End of flash Back!
She shuddered at the memory, rembering how she had left WADA the next day, after an argument with her house keeper at how she didn't see anything wrong with her staying at WADA She turned a swift corridor glancing inside comprtments to see if there was a space for her, even if there was Alice chickened out last minute, what ifs were holding her back.
What If they were going to hate her..... ?
What if she didn't belong here would she be sent back to WADA.............?
She pushed the questions to the back of her mind finaly summoning her courage, she carried on along the narrow corridor swearing to herself that the next compartment with a space would be the one she would sit in......
Alice turned a corner and waked straight into some one. "I'm so sorry" said Alice to a girl with long black hair "Are you ok?" asked Alice offering a hand to help her up.

Kain watched the scene unravel before his eyes. He was calm, and almost half asleep, so, he wasn't in a very bad mood. He raised his eyebrow at the girl, when she walked in.
And there stood Penelope Delani. He knew she used to be one of Draco's best friends, until she got sorted into Gryffindor. And, Draco being the arrogant git he was, hardly talked to her because of it. Kain knew eventually they would start talking again, for how could they not? Once Penelope said that she didn't know anyone was in the compartment, Kain looked at her, slightly in his dreamy daze. He held out his hand, as if to say, "No, you are welcome to sit here." After all, if Draco did end up showing his face and Penelope was sitting here, Kain expected a fun train ride.
When Penelope turned to leave, obviously not seeing his 'hand motion,' Kain sighed. He started to turn back to the window, when he heard the clashing of two people. He quickly spun around to see what had happened, and saw Penelope, and a girl whom he didn’t know, on the ground.
Oh Geez…
“Both of you, get in here.” He said, not really demanding, but with enough force to make them atleast think of following his suggestion. He knew that Penelope was looking for a new compartment to sit in, for usually she would sit with her normal friends. And, by the looks of this new girl, she just needed help fitting in. Draco was going to give Kain a hard time for letting these two come into the compartment, but Kain didn’t care. He could do something nice, once in a while. He beckoned the girls into the room, and sat back against the cushion. He smiled to himself, recalling Penelope’s embarrassed look, when she noticed he was sitting here. Well, he couldn’t make fun of her, if he was in her shoes, he might’ve done the same thing.
Might’ve.
Come to think of it, Kain would probably walk in, see someone sitting there, and give them a look, making them get out of their seat, so that he would sit there.
Yeah, that’s more like it.

Now Penelope's face was blood red with embarrassment as she accepted the extended hand of the person who she had ran into. The person being a red-haired girl that she didn’t recognize. Once Penelope was back on her feet, and her clothes dusted to make sure that everything was back in order, she let out a soft giggle at how ridiculous she must seem to both Kain and this new arrival.
“Oh I’m fine, are you alright? I should really pay attention to where I’m going.” Penelope replied, secretly cursing herself for being so clumsy. It wasn’t like her at all to go around running into people.. And to make it worse, letting it happen in front of Kain. She wondered if he would inform Draco of her slight misfortune. She was sure that Draco would use that as an excuse to hound her. Though she was sure that these petty incidents were beneath Kain so perhaps she was worrying for nothing.
When Kain insisted that she and the poor person that she had knocked into come into the compartment Pen did so without arguing. She sat down , taking the seat opposite of Kain. Scooting closer to the window in order to make room for the other girl to sit.
Well this didn’t exactly turn out the way that she had initially planned, but Penelope couldn’t help but be intrigued by new companions, also by thoughts of how Draco was going to react if he happened into the compartment. She found herself smiling at the thought of what his face would look like to find her sitting there with his new best friend Kain.
“You know, Draco will be quite peeved when he sees us in here with you right?” Penelope states to Kain, not able to keep the thought, nor the wry smile, to herself.

Kain looked at the girls lightly, and smiled, a small one, but still a smile. It wasn't very often that he got to enjoy such a comedic moment, as that.
He wouldn't tell Draco, for it wasn't very important to him. The two girls were merely putting on a display of humor, and Kain liked that. In fact, just seeing them crash into each other made him chuckle, slightly. Kain was now more awake, and watched Penelope sit opposite him, and the new girl, sat beside her. "Yeah, I'm sure he'll have something to say about you both sitting in here, but that just makes our train ride more fun, Doesn't it?" He replied, and looked out the window, once more. Draco was no where to be found. He's late. Kain could tell. "So, what's you're name?" He looked at the new girl, with red hair, and a timid look on her face. "If it'll make both of you feel better, I'm not going to tell anyone about your little...." He searched for the word, "inncedent.." He was well aware that these two girls were slightly uncomfortable sitting with him, or...atleast Penelope was. Maybe not, uncomfortable, no that's not the right word. She seemed to be awaiting Draco's arrival. Anxious, maybe? He couldn't be sure. And the other girl, seemed to just be afraid of something. He stood up, and walked over to wards the door, seeing the girls eyes following him. He peered outside, to see if Draco was in the hallway, but the platinum blond jerk was no where to be found. He shrugged, and closed the door, sitting back down. "Well, he's not here yet, and the train's about to take off. So, unless he comes at record time, we'll not have to deal with him." Kain said, calmly, and brushed off his jacket. Today he was dressed as usual, with black skinny jeans, black converses, a band tee-shirt, which was shielded by a white iconic jacket. =Very Stylish. His hair was it's usual, messy self, spreading out, as if it were a lion's mane. Seriously, If people could decide according to hair, Kain would've been sorted into Gryffindor, and been called the mascot. Of course, if anyone dared to say that to him, Kain would've hexed them to no end. He was abnormally stylish for his age, and knew it. Sometimes, he even used it to his advantage. But, then again, he wasn't that young.

Draco was about ready to kill someone. Seriously, his parents were supposed to have gotten him to the Hogwarts Express 30 minutes ago! He rushed through the train stations, exchanging dirty looks to muggles, and his mother followed behind him, wheeling all of Draco's belongings, besides a couple of books, and the ticket, which Draco himself, held. He ran up to the platforms, labeled '9' and '10' and ran through them, very quickly. He must've gotten there just in time. His mother followed after him, and he grabbed his luggage from her, and ran towards the train, giving his mother a small wave. She smiled, and waved back, mouthing something along the lines of "Goodbye honey, See you Christmas!"
Oh, how he dreaded Christmas.
He rolled his eyes, and got on the train. Luckily, it was just about ready to start moving. Draco handed over his luggage to one of the train's baggage men, and walked towards his usual compartment.
Today was going to be bad, he could tell. If his morning started out like this, there wasn't a way it could get better, according to Draco.

Illyanna sighed, sleepily. She was laying next to her best friend, Neville Longbottom. Neville was occupied with his plant...this year, he brought a strange one, which looked like a weird...cactus. It was moving too, which scared the crap out of Illyanna. She smiled at Neville, who looked up at her, suprised. "Hey Neville, If I poke it, do you think it'll hurt?" She said, going to poke the unknown plant. "Nah, it doesn't have real needles, or anything of that sort. It's actually kinda furry." He said, and Illyanna couldn't help but laugh. She poked the cactus, expecting some sort of attack from it, and jumped. Laughing hysterically, she sat back. "Nice plant." She grinned, and Neville nodded, chuckling. "Say, have you seen your brother?" He asked, and Illyanna nodded. Even though he wasn't her actual brother, Kain and Illyanna had agreed to making the relationship seem as though it was. "Yeah, I saw him in his usual compartment. He looked like he was sleeping, so I didn't bother him." She added, "I did put in a note from Dad, in his bag. He'll be suprised when he reads it." She smiled, and Neville nodded. "You and your brother are really different," He replied, and Illyanna nodded. "Yeah! We couldn't be more opposite!" She giggled, and stood up, looking out the window for Luna Lovegood. The three of them sat together for every train ride, but Luna was no where to be found. "Do you know where Luna is, Neville?" She asked the older boy, who shook his head. Illyanna knew that Neville had a crush on Luna, but was not sure if Luna could return the feelings. It seemed that lots of the girls she talked to now a days, all liked Kain, and in Ginny Weasley's case, Harry Potter. Even Cho Chang liked Kain, which was annoying. Illyanna made sure to warn Kain of Cho, since that girl went after like, all of the cute guys at the school. Seriously, she needs to chill. Illyanna smiled to herself, and kept an eye out for her friend, Luna.

Alice smiled nervously at the two people in her compartment. "God they probally think i'm a complete freak already I haven't said word" she thought to herself . Alice began summoning up the courage to introduce herself, "Come on Alice you big wuss, if they didn't like the look of you then why did they let you sit with them" she thought.. She looked up from her thinking pose at the two other people. "I'm Alice" she said giving a small smile "I'm a transfer student and I'm sorry for not talking I must seem really rude". Alice turned to the girl she had collided with. "I'm sorry running into you by the way i'm such a complete clutz" she said sheepishly.

"He probably got swept away with cursing muggles in the train station," Penelope replied when Kain commented on Draco's tardiness. Penelope was alittle disappointed because she did start to look forward to the train ride. Kain was right, it would make the train ride very enjoyable. Penelope wasn't the type of person who enjoyed making people angry on purpose, but she did like to push a few buttons every now and then, and Draco was one of the people that she enjoyed doing that too.
She decided to put those thoughts out of her mind and actually give her compartment mates the attention that they deserved. Penelope looked at the girl sitting beside her. 'Besides, perhaps it'd be better for her if Draco managed to miss the train anyway.' Pen thought to herself.
Penelope noticed that the girl looked frightened and Penelope could relate. It must be hard coming to a new school and having to make all new friends. Pen decided that she would make it slightly easier for her. Especially when the girl, what did she say her name was again? Oh thats right, Alice. Especially when Alice apologized for bumping into her again.
Penelope smiled her friendliest smile. "No really, its fine. It wasn't all your fault you know, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going. I'm Penelope by the way. Its really nice to meet you Alice."

"thanks" said Alice "its nice to meet you too" she said to Penelope "and you as well whats your name?" she asked the boy sitting opposite her. "Any way thanks for letting me sit here, its been murder trying to find a compartment" said Alice to the two of them.
At least Alice wasn't alone any more, and hopefully she could make friends with the two people, it would be a lot easier for her, starting Hogwarts with at least some friends, she pondered what her house would be like, she had been sorted over the summer when her father had a meeting with Proffesor Dumbledore over her transfer, Gryffindor she was in, she couldn't wait.
"So what Hogwarts like? Alice asked to no one in particular
Alice really wanted to know as she was more excited now for Hogwarts, she had asked her House Keeper Mrs Regals on the journey to the train station, but all the grumpy bat had said was 'keep your head down'.

Kain yawned, and nodded at Penelope. "Yes, Knowing Draco, he's doing just that." He said, and smirked at the thought of it. "Ah, Well I'm Kain Winters." He answered Alice, and ruffled his hair slightly. Sometimes, this mane of a hairstyle got annoying. "And, you'll love Hogwarts. I mean, it's naturally cliquey, but that's the story of every school. And everyone is nice to you, unless you're Harry Potter, people seem to always change their opinion about him." He said, half joking. The matter was, Harry Potter was always getting people to be either on his side, or against him. Kain didn't know what to think about him. Suddenly, Kain was woken from his reverie by the fast, loud footsteps outside the compartment. "Looks like Draco's decided to show up." He said, as if announcing his arrival. What would he think with two girls sitting in his usual compartment?

Draco stormed through the corridors of the train, pushing everyone out of his way. He walked up to his usual compartment door, and opened it quickly, and loudly.
He was, unpleasently suprised to see Kain, sitting in his usual window seat, calm and collected, while two girls sat opposite him.
What the bloody hell were they doing here?
He couldn't get alone! Opposite of Kain sat Penelope Delani and a new girl. His mouth was gaping, and he quickly asked his best friend, "What the hell is this?" He asked, malice clear in his voice, as he sat down next to Kain, and glared at Penelope. He didn't know who the other girl was, so he wasn't going to give her a hard time, but Penelope, and Kain deserved it. "Kain, might you inform me, why they are here?" He asked, looking right at his stylish friend.
Honestly, he would never get any time to relax.

"Harry Potter" thought Alice All the girls excluding Alice, were mad about him at WADA they hadn't even met him and many of the fickle girls were planning there futures with him. Alice didn't know what to think, she wasn't shallow or judgemental and she hadn't met him so she unlike all the other girls she didn't make a decison, he seemed like a nice person though.
Alice also wondered who this Draco person was, Penelope and Kain kept going on about him it made her slightly curious.
The door to the compartment suddenly opened reveling a platinum blond haired boy.

Kain couldn't help but laugh at Draco's face when he saw Penelope and Alice sitting in the compartment. His laughter was soft, and even kind, yet still had a slight edgyness to it. He looked as Draco sat down, and peered over at the blond. "Geez, Draco, If looks could Kill..." He said, sarcastically, and draco looked at him, shooting him a death glare. "Very charming, Mr. Malfoy." He replied towards Draco's glare. "And, to answer your question, these two are here because they needed a place to sit." Kain answered, matter-of-factly. And watched Draco's glare move towards Penelope.
This would be fun.
Kain smiled innocently at his friend Draco, who just sneered a nasty remark about Kain's mother, back at him. Draco knew Kain's mother and father were both dead, and knew all about Kain, in general. So, he knew exactly ways to make him upset. Naturally, Kain kept his cool, about the 'Mother' remark. "Alright Draco, I see you are alittle bit hormonal. Maybe you should take a nap. Does that sound good to you?" He asked, as if talking to a dog. Yet, Draco was too busy glowering at Penelope. Oh, this would be interesting.
Very, Interesting.
