Kain watched patiently, as the scene unfolded around him. Penelope had just given the correct answer to Snape, who was acting slightly peculiar today. He wasn't as talkitive as usual, and Kain knew there must be something wrong.
He was going to ask to use the restroom, as Kain did almost everyclass, but stopped when the door opened and slammed, creating a small bang. But, that wasn't the noise that made everyone jump, it was also aided by the sounds of Draco snoring. Well, and also, the sound of Kain's voice ring through the entire room, when Draco moved his arm, 'accidentally' into the potion that was sitting on their desk, and it spilt on Kain. Shit. Seriously, Kain didn't need this. Jumping out of his chair, behind him the unknown person, and Draco's laughter seemed to echo in the dungeon classroom. Kain looked down at his shirt, which, luckily for him was black, so there was no stain problem, but he was still utterly pissed off. Glaring over at Draco, out of the corner of his grey eyes, he could see Harry Potter snickering.

Alice watched the scene unfold, Draco seemed to be dying of laughter, so was most of the class it was quite comical but Alice didn't laugh, she knew better than to laugh at others mistakes. there was quite a clatter, potion was spilt every where and it was speeping across the room like some sort of sick stream. also bits of broken caldroun were scattered across the floor, it must have been quite embarresing for Kain and Draco but none of them seemed to falter, Draco was to busy laughing and Kain just looked mad. Alice's attenition turned to the new arrival in the room

When Penelope turned around, startled by the loud noise, she saw Kain standing up and glaring at the hysterical Draco. Penelope couldn't help but giggle, but it wasn't a mean hearted giggle. Penelope would have even giggled at herself if she were in Kain's position because she found it was always better to laugh than get angry. But she quickly stopped giggling before Kain had a chance to glare at her.
The potion was coming closer and closer toward Alice and she and quite frankly, it was probably one of the worst smells that she had ever smelled. She quickly drew her wand and cast a spell to dry the potion up. She also turned her wand on Kain and repeated the spell on his clothes.
"There, good as new." She said quietly from where she was sitting. Only this time did she really notice who the newcomer to the class was. Once she saw that it was none other than Professor Dumbledore.
Penelope couldn't imagine what Professor Dumbledore would need with Professor Snape in the middle of class, but perhaps that would explain why he was acting so different. She looked from Prof. Dumbledore over to Prof. Snape and back, curiously as Prof. Snape made his way to the back of the class.
Penelope then looked at Alice and shrugged her shoulders.

Kain glaced over at Penelope, and felt the soaking wet uniform he was wearing, dry quickly. He still smelt of the potion, and he fixed that to his usual cologne smell with a quick spell. Feeling better, he sat down, and punched Draco in the shoulder.. "I'm going to get you later, Mr. Malfoy" He said fake-menicingly, and winked in Penelope's direction, as if to say 'thank you'. He peered over his shoulder at Dumbledore, who looked him way, with a small smile. Kain didn't get that often, and imagined it was because of the display he and Draco had just put on. "Yes Prof. Dumbledore?" Snape was overheard saying, as he got closer. The two departed from the room, as Dumbledore beckoned Snape outside.

When Kain winked in Penelope's direction, she nodded and smiled. She felt her cheeks turn turn pink and quickly turned her attention back to Alice.
"See, no boring moments when sharing a class with Slytherin," She whispered. She then focused on Prof. Snape and Prof. Dumbledore.
Prof. Dumbledore was one of her favorite adults at the school. Perhaps her very favorite. He was like a delightful grandfather to her.

Alice smiled when she caught Penelope blushing... "yeah this years going to be a good one" she said giggling.
Alice watched as the friendly looking headmaster of the school walked in.
"I wonder whats going on?" said Alice to Penelope. "Does this usually happen?".
The class was in uproar with chatter as soon as proffesor Snape left. Alice head a loud Irish boys voice shouting stuff like lets make a break for it old snapes gone! It was if a magic spell had been lifted on the class the once bored or terrifired studetns were now rampaging the class room.
maybe something was going on? Alice had heard of what had happened in the previous years of Hogwarts; Dementors; basilisks and death eaters posing as teachers. Maybe something was happeneing I mean its not every day I teacher gets rushed out of the classroom by the head, but maybe Alice was over exadgerating, he was probably just talking about potion supplies or something.

Penelope playfully stuck her tongue out at Alice when she giggled about Pen's blushing.
"I wonder whats going on? Does this usually happen?" Alice had asked.
Penelope turned around in her chair to look at the door that the two Professors had exited. "No, it usually doesn't happen but I'm sure its nothing." She let her eyes travel to Kain and wondered quietly if he could hear what Dumbledore and Snape were saying since he was sitting pretty close to the door.

Kain closed his eyes. Filthy Irish, being so bloody loud. Kain yawned, listening intently on others conversations. He could see everything from where he was sitting, including Harry Potter's note-passing to Ron Weasley, Hermione drawing hearts around Ron's name in her notebook, and Penelope's blushing at Kain's wink. All that, plus more. "What do you 'spose their talking about?" Seamus asked Dean. Kain peered over to their desk, and rolled his eyes. Boring. He let his focus draw away from their conversation, to the one that was happening outside the door. He could hear. Very well, infact. And, what he heard wasn't very delightful sounding. "Severus, you heard about the Ministry inturrupting our studies at Hogwarts, correct?" Dumbledore's muffled voice spoke. "Yes, Sir, But why did they send that toad here?" Snape answered, a fustrated tone. Kain remembered the woman who was introduced as the new DADA teacher, and at that time, the entire student body disregarded her. "She wants to completely renew Hogwarts. The Minister of Magic wants Hogwarts under new rule. In any case that she overruns Hogwarts, I need to know that she will expect you to be on her side. Severus, I need you to pretend to aid her in her fight against Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." Dumbledore's voice went silent, and Kain's eyes widened. And, the sound of the room was extremely distracting. "Will everyone here polietly shut it?" He asked, actually...yelled, and gave a warning glare to everyone in the room. Hearing a couple voices silence, Kain went back on to listening. "Yes Albus, Thanks for letting me know in advance." Snape said, and before Kain could let the class know what he had heard, suddenly the door opened, showing an annoyed looking Severus Snape.

Alice and Penelope were having a good chat about broomsticks. Comparing the new and old. "Yeah I begged my dad for the firebolt but he said I had to wait till christmas" she said annoyed.
"Maybe there'll be a knew model out soon?" she said happily as she doodled a little stick man on a broomstick onto the corner of her book Suddenly Kain shouted at every one to shut up, he seemed to be listening to the conversation outside, Alice sent him a questioning look on the conversation. and just as he was about to tell the class, Proffesor Snape stormed in and he looked like he was in a filthy mood. What ever Proffesor Dumbledore had told Snape had upset him. The class suddenly fell silent and that magic spell holding them in place returned once more.

Kain's unexpected (very loud) request for silence made her jump. She turned, along with Alice, to look at Kain questioningly.
'So he does know what the conversation was about.' she thought to herself. She decided that perhaps she would ask him if he heard anything once class was over. She was especially curious since whatever it was, Prof. Snape wasn't very happy.
"This does not look good," she whispered to Alice as Prof. Snape made his way back to the front of the class, his footsteps heavier than they were when he had left. No doubt due to his barely contained anger.

Severus couldn't believe it. That stupid toad really was planning on make a name for herself at Hogwarts. And, he had to pretend to be on her side. Snape would rather Avada Kadavra her, than anything. He walked past his students angrily, and he could tell that they noticed his emotions. Strolling to his desk, and podium, he put on a relaxed face. But, when he looked around the room, everyone's face was even more curious than it had been before. Penelope looked slightly nervous, as if she was concerned, which was nice. And, as his eyes peered back to his favorite students, he saw Draco whispering to Kain, and Kain just looked dead on at Snape, his eyes wide and filled with confusion.
Maybe he overheard.
No matter. Snape needed to get back on his lesson. "Alright class, so you all both know what the two draughts do, now I want you to make the draught of peace. Last year we were planning on starting it, but never got there. I expect all of you to be done in the next 15 minutes." With that, he put the ingredients on the chalkboard, and walked to his desk, sat down, and did some of the paperwork he had been putting off since the school year ended.

Alice clapped her hands together happily making potions was fun, she pulled on her gloves and started to gather the ingrediants , cutting them up and measuring the different substances. until they were all ready.
fun fun fun... she said in her head.
Soon her potion was bubbling a nice blue colour, she checked her book this was the stage she was supposed to be at, she smiled happily while adding the final ingrediants.

Penelope couldn't help but let out a small giggle when Alice clapped her hands to start her potion.
Penelope prepared her own potion and was relieved when it turned out the way that it was suppose to.
Unfortunately someone in the class wasn't as lucky because a stinky smell soon took over the room and Ron groaned, giving it away that it was he who caused the stench.

Eww thought Alice as the smell reached her nose. The boy she came to know as ron let out a loud groan, so it was obvious it was him...
Alice pointed her wand once Snape had turned his back to the class and Rons ingrediants quickly became the right size and in the right order hopefully he would be able to get the potion right now, the smell had subsided so hopefully he was on the right track. Ron sent her a thumbs up in thanks and she returned it guessing he had figured it out.
Alice added the final ingrediant and her potion was a pale blue smoking slightly, checking her book she smiled happily at the fact her potion was completed and correct.
woop, she thought the sugar high kicking in. She looked next to Penelope.
"You ok?" she asked kindly.

"You ok?" Alice asked Penelope. Penelope nodded, though she knew that her face must have been a horrid pale color. The stench that Ron had caused was gone, but it still lingered in her nose and to make matters worse, it had made her sick to her stomach.
She had already completed her potion easy enough without paying attention to her book since she had practiced this one over break. Since she was done with the potion, she put her elbows on the table and laid her head in her hands.
She closed her eyes and counted to ten feeling like she was either going to pass out or get sick.
