Erin arrived in the class, with minutes to spare. Which meant that there was still plenty of seats left, she took one next to the window. Ancient runes was a very tedious subject she found, so when it got too boring she could always day dream out the window.
She smiled when Martha sat down next to her, and got her book out, placing it carefully to the right of her ruin. The ruin was in a sort of glass box, with a ruin of a castle or a stately home. Trees were dotted every where in the box.
Erin was slightly confused, why would a castle be on her table for an ancient runes class, and not just her table but everyones.
What was going on?

There is a fine line between reality, and fairytales. But, I've crossed that line plenty of times.

Antionette peered around the room with kind eyes. She smiled at each student as they walked through the door, and sat down at their desks. "Hello class!" She smiled at everyone, and picked up a model of an ancient rune from Lavender Brown's desk, and held it up to show everyone. "I'm Miss Antionette, and I'm sure we'll all have a great class this year." She introduced herself, and turned her attention to the rune in her hands. "I will put you all into pairs of 6." She said, and looked around the room, already knowing who would be put in groups. "And you all will shink and explore your ancient rune. And, of course, you may find some items in you runes that you can bring back. The last class, some students found old clothing, jewlery, fossils, and even met real miniature people in their ruins." She giggled, and placed the ruin down on the desk where it belonged. "Lets see, you six, back there." She pointed to the boy with extravagant black and blonde hair, and the platinum blonde next to him. They both introduced themselves as Kain Winters and Draco Malfoy. Antionette did this for everyone, and assigned each to groups. "Alice, Draco, Penelope, Kain, Will, and Blaise, you all are in a group." She smiled, and they all gathered around their own small castle. They had a beautiful one, the architexture was simply masterful, and it was one of Antionette's favorites. "And Erin, Martha, Kyle, Jared, Stacey, and Gryffin, you're in a group together." She smiled, and sent them to work.

Will walked over to his group. Will had always loved ancient runes it was a really good subject and he enjoyed it because he'd always liked the idea of exploring old tombs and treasure hunting whether that was because of his passion for adventure he didnt know. He nodded a hello to every one as he met the group before taking the shrinking potion.

Kain wasn't exactly thrilled to be in Will's group. But, he let the annoyance subside, and he looked down at the ruin they would be exploring. It really was beautiful, and even had a waterfal flowing into a lake in the back yard, which contained mountain ranges galore. He was looking foward to this, and smiled to himself. Draco yawned, and looked down at the ruin too. "Pretty." He just said, and poked one of the trees. It was remarkably strong, for it withheld his finger's push. Laughing softly, Kain turned to Draco. "You can't even knock down a model tree, Draco. That's sad." He said, and Draco rolled his eyes, and looked back at Miss Antionette.

Penelope giggled at the idea of Kyle having to be in a group with Gryffin. She hoped Gryffin would put him through alot, and knowing Gryffin, she'd probably get her wish. She and Alice quickly joined Kain, Draco, Will, and Blaise. "Just like old times, huh Draco?" She said with a wry smile.
Penelope had a small doll castle when she was very young. It was her favorite toy and whenever she, Draco, and sometimes Kyle wanted to play with it, her mother would cast a small shrinking spell on them to allow them to walk through the castle and play as if they were really royalty, which of course they basically were.
From the look that Draco gave her, Penelope had a feeling that he remembered as well, although he didn't look like he enjoyed the idea of his friends finding out how he use to play make believe in a doll house. Hmm, maybe Penelope should mention it to Kain sometime so that he would have something to tease Draco about later on.

Erin smiled, she was happy with the group she was in, every one was friendly, well almost everybody. She glanced at Kyle who looked bored and she looked away quickly before he could meet her gaze.
The group crowded around the glass box, with the tiny castle in, Erin grinned widely at Jared before, using the shrinking spell, and sinking into the castle grounds.

Gryffin grinned as he went to meet his group, "Alright! This is going to be great, eh Kyle?" Gryffin said, and patted Kyle's shoulder. He laughed when Kyle snarled his nose.
"Meet you all inside!" Gryffin said before shrinking down to the correct size in order to fit into the castle. The grounds of the castle were amazing. Full of green trees and perfectly kept grass. There were plenty of beautiful flowers all around. Including a cascade of the most beautiful purple roses. Gryffin wasn't even sure that purple roses even actually existed. He quickly picked a few and put them in his cloak.
He waited for the other group members to arrive before heading in. As soon as everyone appeared, he held the door to the castle open and bowed, "Ladies first." He said with a grin.

Erin was amazed at the size of the castle it really was amazing what magic could do. She was the next to enter the grounds after Gryffin with Martha close behind her.
High above she could make out the stone ceiling of the castle, that was weird, to not see the sky.
She grinned as Gryffin opened the door and said ladies first, she mock curtsied to him before entering the wrecked ruin of the castle. Walking over a bed of Chrysanthemums and opal coloured leaves. She knelt to the floor and examined a few of the bright, opal leaves, before tucking them into the breast pocket of her cloak.
The place seemed to emit an aura of magic.

Kyle groaned at the idea of being in a group with Gryffin and Jared. Two mudblood Gryffindors. Just the thought of it made him sick to his stomach. He let out a sigh of annoyance and pushed his rage aside just as he always did. Now was not the time to take action or to lose his cool. After all, a Delani does not do things to bring dishonor to the family name. So he would do well in this class even if his team did have a few bad apples in it.
Kyle quickly used the shrinking spell and walked onto the castle grounds not long after Gryffin and Erin. He heard Gryffin's comment about ladies first and rolled his eyes. Gryffin was always trying to show off. This annoyed Kyle to no end.

Chelsea arrived late into the class room, she wrinkled her nose in disgust as she walked past Hermione "ugh, dirty little mudblood" she muttered, purposely pushing past her desk so her model fell to the ground.
Seeing that everyone had been put into groups already she smiled sweetly at the teacher, "I'm so sorry I'm late Miss...err....Antionette, I got lost" she said with a fake giggle, she looked the teacher up and down, she was wasn't ugly, Chelsea would give her that.

Kain looked over at Chelsea, and groaned. She was the typical Slytherin girl stereotype, and Kain had to admit, she did an excellent job at it. Antionette put her in Kain's group, and Kain nodded her over, and they all used the shrinking spell to make them small enough to fit into the Castle. It was huge, and Kain looked up at it in shock. Everything looked so real, it was as if he stepped back in time to visit when this castle was in its prime. "Well..." He started to say, and turned to Penelope. He wanted to explore inside, but truth be told, it looked extremely haunted. The Castle oozed dark magic. Kain sighed, and took steps towards it, up to the door, and pushed it open. It was slightly rusted, and when it swung back, it screamed painfully, and sent a chill up Kain's spine. Looking back, he stepped inside.

Will noticed the look on Kains face when he was put in Kains group, to be honest Will didn't care he didn't have time for Kains petty quarrels they had really begun to bore him. Will didn't like the feel of the castle it felt dark it just didn't seem right.
Will followed the others inside the castle he smiled at Alice, and walked next to her. "Scared Sefaline" he teased playfully as they entered the dingy corridor, he turned to blaize who looked uncomfortable standing next to Chelsea who was gabbering on about her nails or something along those lines.
"Maybe we should split up" suggested Will "Into pairs of course, we'll cover more ground that way and find more things"" he added "and if something goes wrong we send out a tracking spell to the others so they can come to help any one in trouble easily!" He took out his specs ok so this was the one time he might need them this place was pretty dingy so it would be easy to miss things without his glasses.

Kain thought about what Will had said. "Mhmm, good idea." He said, and suggested grouping in one group of 3, and another of 4, since they now had an extra member of their group. "Well, Will, Blaise, Alice and Chelsea can go together, if that doesn't bother you? And then Draco, Penelope and I? It really doesn't bother me, you can all decide." He said, and finally took a good look around the room. "Or, if we want to go in two groups of 2, and one group of 3." he said. He really didn't care which way, and made it known. As he peered around the room, he could see perfectly clear, for his eyes were adjusted to darkness. It was creepy, there were old fancy chairs that looked like they encountered a massive storm. Or, someone personally ruined it. They were torn, and dusty, and strewn around the room. It was covered in spiderwebs, and dust was literally piled on the floor.

Will nodded at the decision and said bye to every one else and led his group down one of the many large hallways, lighting his wand with Lumos he turned to the others as the corridor led down the a large staircase and to a door with a puzzle on. the Puzzle was like a giant annagram but it was in latin. on the door was a picture of what looked like a grim reaper a man a group of friends and light.
He took out his rune book, the puzzle looked slightly simple get the code right and you open the door, he looked at the symbols then back to his group before he went to solve it. "Any idea's" he asked the group, Will could have easily solved it but he wanted the others to have a go he could always correct them if they were wrong.
He wondered where the others had gotten to and if they had encountered any puzzles maybe there was something hidden in the basement that required guarding it could'nt be anything dangerous could it ? I mean the teacher wouldn't give them anything dangerous would she ??

Penelope thought Will's idea to split into groups was a fantastic idea, and she was happy that she wasn't put into the same group as Chelsea. Penelope got along fine with Chelsea, but she did find her very annoying, especially since she was a typical Slytherin.. another Pansy. Though Penelope had promised her father that being sorted into Gryffindor wouldn't keep her from staying friendly with friends of the family.
Penelope waved bye to Alice as her team set out to explore their parts of the castle. She used Lumos on her wand so that she could see more clearly in the dark castle. It was beautiful, despite the disarray of the furniture and the unkept appearance of the room.
Penelope, Kain, and Draco decided to begin their exploration upstairs, and so they began to climb the stairs. The staircase was a circular and made of wood with faded red carpet lining the steps. Penelope took hold of the railing as they took the stairs.
The closer they got to the second floor, a strange feeling took over Penelope. Instead of scaring her though, it only made her want to continue on, as if something were calling her name. Penelope led the way into the hallway at the top of the stairs.
Once there, the group was met with a long hallway, with many doors. On the wooden floor, the same red carpet laid. There were candleholders hanging from the walls. In the holders were old candles that looked as if they hadn't been lit in many long years.
"Should we light the candles?" Penelope asked, looking from Kain to Draco and back to Kain.
